Trey Palms continues to release new material in anticipation of his upcoming EP, Image is Nothing, which is due out in August. Palms follows up his single “Fly Off” with a collaborative single with RAJA appropriately titled “Hold Up”— a smooth and electric track that features production by The Ambassadeurs & Keyan Behruz Sanai. As the title of the track alludes to, “Hold Up” is a song about partying in the club and the common phenomena of one to get ahead of themselves in the moment, an experience which everybody who enjoys partying can relate to. This bodes well for the upcoming rapper seeing that in today’s music landscape connecting with ones fan base and audience is essential in becoming a successful artist. RAJA add his own polished voice to the track, which makes for an extremely seductive hook that perfectly compliments Palms verses and overall aesthetic.
With that said, Palms is looking great as he continues to transpire as an artist by building a strong, energetic catalog that features tracks which are very enjoyable to listen to.
