Scottish producer Calvin Harris has figured out a way to infiltrate our summer playlists and inspire artists of every spectrum to remix his records. Last summer his hit single with Lana Del Rey “Summertime Sadness” received remixes from Cedric Gervais, Ryan Hemsworth, ETC!ETC!, and more as it was engrained on every music venues speakers. Like the Scottish warrior William Wallace stormed our hearts, Calvin is storming our stereos for another summer filled with “summer” remixes. One chick hailing from New Jersey has smashed through the monotonous remix game and given the title track “Summer” her Uniiqu3 touch. Jersey Club artist Uniiqu3 has slayed remixes for Tinashe and Flosstradamus and now she puts her bubbly club touch on the pop-tinged original. If you are in the New York area you won’t want to miss Uniiqu3 play with Cashmere Cat and Total Freedom at MoMA PS1’s Warm Up concert this Saturday, July 26th.
