When UK beat wizard Distinction and London rapper Isaac Danquah had a chance meeting at one of this years Slocal events in the nations capital, the pair hit it off instantly. Following further communication via Twitter, both artists were more than keen to work together, especially with Isaac's Boy Meets Man Experiment in mind.
This week we were blessed with the pairs first collaborative effort, the relaxingly brilliant "Introspective". Isaac uses the downtempo, minimalistic beat produced by Distinction, to dissect his own life to this point, with some deep touching lyrics bringing some common social issues to the forefront. With such a laid back beat, Danquah's lyricism is one of the driving forces behind the track, as deep kicks and reverb drenched claps underneath a pulsating bassline really make the track roll along. "Introspective" is definitely one of the most chilled out yet still utterly engrossing tracks you will hear all summer.
