Available now via Foster Arts/Vandelay, Parisian duo Walter Sobcek's brand new EP, Midnight Crush, is deliciously smooth nu-disco, featuring official remixes by Cätcät, Oxford, Synapson, and Mattanoll.
Joining forces in 2011, Walter Sobcek have released two previous EPs, and remixed such notable artists as Housse de Racket and Chilly Gonzales. In addition to these efforts, the pair produced French "hedonist-pop" band Destin's debut EP on Polydor/Universal Music, and have performed at famed venues including Paris's Social Club.
Mixed by Lifelike, the duo's original version of "Midnight Crush (feat. Mereki)" is groovy, 80's influenced electro pop, with Los Angeles-based singer Mereki lending her vocals. Cätcät offers a deep house take on the track, while Oxford's remix is ethereal and chilled out. Finally, Synapson and Mattanoll respectively produce synth heavy, indie dance reworks of "Midnight Crush (feat. Mereki)".
