Henry Krinkle's "Stay" has been a favorite in my book since it was first released two years ago. I liked then, how samples of the lingering libido from Alicia Keys' and Drake's vocals on "Unthinkable" combine with dreamy instrumentals, and a pulsing beat that bounces in and almost out of hearing range, and I like now, how Justin Martin's remix of the 6 minute track is reviving it's sprit in a pleasantly dark way.
A house and techno aficionado based in San Francisco, Justin Martin finds his label home at dirtybird records. He is currently on a 2-week Europe-wide tour that started in Croatia, touched down in London and Moscow, and will be ending at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. We're happy that Justin is traveling to all of these great places, but we're definitely hoping to see him play some upcoming shows in the states and "stay" on U.S. turf for a at least a little while.
