Manchester's Jus' Liam is rapidly emerging as one of the city's finest rap talents. His Prodigal mixtape, released at the beginning of this year, was proof of the young emcee's growing talent with the mic, and he has become one of the most sought after hosts for popular club night 'Juicy', which is held in the city.
This week we've been treated to the visuals for "Schemin", the first single from Liam's upcoming project Maybe I'm A Ghost Already. The track itself is relatively dark, with 80's sounding synth lines across the top of some bangin' drum breaks, courtesy of beat wizard Matt Kuartz. Liam really takes hold of the instrumental and commands his way throughout, with a silky smooth flow and some nice lyricism to boot. Also hopping onto the track is fellow Mancunian spitter Devaughn Trey, who more than holds his own, providing a well thought out verse with an easy to digest flow. The visuals for the track are as equally dark, with both emcee's hanging out in a decaying urban environment, with some grainy VCR like footage providing even more of an eerie feel.
