Prides ease forward with "Messiah" (Acoustic) [Premiere]

Born out of several local Glasgow acts, the synth-pop trio Prides inject their experience into each of their songs. While only being around for just over a year, their music takes on infectious hooks and an overall driving force in ways that we would expect from bands that have been together for years. Signifying an strong sense of togetherness through their musicianship and maturity, the idea of coming together around their music is also projected onto their audience. This not only refers to their live audience at shows, but listeners at home, who can use Prides' music as an upbeat and positive backing anywhere from casual get togethers to full-fledged parties.

While Prides' catalog of music thus far rely on bold synth textures and beats to keep the song moving forward, the same cannot be said about their acoustic version of "Messiah". While there are technically no acoustic instruments in this remix, Prides are going for more of the underlying meaning behind acoustic. With that being a song that possesses the tranquility and force that will keep listeners grounded, the acoustic version of "Messiah" scales back without losing any of the heart and soul from the original.

Be sure to also peek at the recently released video for "Messiah" and also visit one of Prides energetic shows if they are in your area (tour dates below).
