Hear OVO's Majid Jordan's Gloomy Single "A Place Like This"

Canadian duo Majid Jordan has flown under the radar since signing to Drake's OVO Sound label (surfacing only for the Nothing Was the Same standout single "Hold On, We're Going Home"). They've just released their debut single: a dark, conflicted tale of a love gone awry. It's hypnotizing from its inception, and as ominous as the accompanying visual is, it's still a track you can just vibe to at face value.

Formerly known as Good People, Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman reveal a new dimension to their music with "A Place Like This," aside from previous electronic records. The single marks the debut under the Warner Bros. imprint. It's a smoldering R&B-tinged record not unlike what we've come to associate with Drake's OVO crew, complete with cloudy production permeated by shifting percussion 40 would approve of.

"A Place Like This" precedes a 5-track EP of the same title, which you can preorder here. The ominous track also has a fitting visual; watch the story unravel below.

A Place Like This EP is slated for release July 22 via OVO Sound/Warner Bros.
