Sleepy Tom does an all-Canadian lineup for Pillowcast #002 [Premiere]

If you haven't heard of Sleepy Tom yet, then you must have spent the last year daydreaming. Last month the Canadian electronic producer began his podcast series, fittingly called Pillowcast, the first episode of which commemorated his recent Jobless EP, out now on his home label, Fool's Gold. The two-track release saw Sleepy Tom work on two different collaborations: "Karaoke" with Juan Ton and the title track with Krusha, both of who also call Vancouver, CA home. Today he continues on with the second installment of his series, this time celebrating the national holiday known as Canada Day.

Though the mix focuses on artists who hail from the colder Northern American neighbor, it comes off as a true testament to diversity in many respects. As the mix rifles through artists big and small, jumping from John Roman, to A-Trak to Chelsea Grimm, the genres slip through in seamless motion, harder electro to deep house blending together in perfect harmony. Additionally, Sleepy Tom shows no fear in searching through his imaginably large library, bringing back favorite tracks from yesteryear, like the 2010 rager "Ready Or Not" by AutoErotique. Known for a diverse pool of high-quality talent, it's no wonder that Fool's Gold has held on tightly to the young producer.

Plug in those headphones, take a listen, and hear what this mix is all aboot. Happy Canada Day!
