The Chainsmokers entertain the wanderlust heart with their remix of "Step Out"

If you think that #Selfie is the greatest musical feet since Asher Roth’s “I Love College” then this song is not for you. You see, long before the inception of #Selfie, NYC based duo The Chainsmokers made their name with their infectious and innovative remixes of songs like “Sleep Alone” by Two Door Cinema Club or “Trying To Be Cool” from Sofia Coppola’s love boy Phoenix. Following suit in their innovative and cutting-edge remixes is the key track from The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty film, “Step Out” by Jose Gonzalez. The Chainsmokers keep the anthemic gang-vocals of the track in tack while intertwining it with an insatiable and subtle electronic music bed. Toning down the big room vibe, light kick drums and sweeping synthesizers pair with the Karen O-esque vocals in what is a remix that will implore that weakest of wanderlust hearts to get off their ass and go see the world. Believe it or not, there is a vast landscape of possibilities out there beyond your computer screen. With that said, listen to the song, get on Kayak.com, find a flight, and fucking go somewhere because there is no doubt this remix is going places.
