Prior to the hype and attention for SomeKindaWonderful's self titled album, progressive house artist Steve James remixed one of the most popular singles. "Reverse" has already made its impact on the blogoshere, reaching just under 2k likes on Hype Machine and officially remixed by Passion Pit, Oliver Nelson, and Tomas Barfod. It comes as no surprise that EARMILK is seeing another amazing rework of a vibrant infused tune fit for summer.
Steve James leaves the vocals intact for the most part, but starts the remix on his own terms with an euphoric introduction. After you're teased with the chorus, the track turns into a classic progressive structure with a piano leading right into foray of high synths and looping melodies. One of main delights with this remix is how Steve James never really looses sight of what made the original stick out and uses this original touch to work well with his own style.
