Rustie is one musician who the public has been itching to hear from for quite some time. Where has this Glasgow native been and what has his unique style of experimental bass warped into? The answer awaits us all on August 25th when Rustie's new album, Green Language, is officially released through Warp Records. This release is certainly worthy of a mark on any calendar, as Danny Brown, D Double E, Gorgeous Child and Redinho have all collaborated with Rustie on four of the thirteen tracks. You can already pre-order the whole work now off iTunes and will receive a free download of his first single, "Raptor".
The newest work comes off as a bridge between Rustie's past and (I'm assuming) what is in store for us. It has a similar structure to his old work using high energy synths and somewhat 8-bit sounds. Yet, Rustie never leaves the soup to settle for too long in his music and before you even realize it, you're hit with a heavy beat sequence. This single makes us remember who exactly this producer is and what exactly he is capable of. No fear; Rustie is here. Encore.
