From the offset Chox-Mak flies his 90’s Flow flag with a ton of commitment in “Mak Da Ripper”. The British themes of the creative title are furthered by the influence of the UK’s Pepsi C25. Pepsi takes production credits for the venomous beat on which you can imagine a number of hip hop heavyweights from rap’s golden era spitting over. This fresh new effort plays as the sequel to “Jax Da Ripper”, which dropped a couple months back. “Substance” is a term that consistently pops up when reading into the motivation behind DJ YRS Jerzy and Mak’s striving to produce what they consider to be real rap with raw vibes as well as an emphasis on experimental production.
