Today, we have a special treat for you, bringing you a fresh face to add on to your radar and to pay close attention to from here on out. Sydney-sider Jerry Gorman, aka Hatch, pays tribute to the Roy Ayers classic “Everybody Loves The Sunshine” in the most beautiful revival, and “beautiful” is not used lightly here. Hatch presents a marching-band style drum roll, building anticipation before dropping Ayers’ voice to a gripping low-pitch for the hook, as well as adding some twinkling synths in “hatching” (get it?) this delightful melody. Hatch appropriately dubs this “rhythm and bass,” for he carries us on an enchanting wave of such, and it’s quite apparent that he is an extremely mindful and poised producer, carefully crafting profound music to touch us through. Grab the free download and if you’re craving more, dig in on some of his other soulful treasures, “What You Need” and “Hold On Me.”
