Parting ways with someone that is an integral part of your life is never easy, but things happen for a reason and often times everything ends up better for both parties in the long run. Recently cutting the tie with long time band member and vocalist Jade Castrinos, indie-folk ensemble Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros now look towards the future to build on their established identity.

One would think that a group with a revolving lineup of 9+ members could trim some fat from around the edges, but that is quite the contrary for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Deriving diverse musical stances and understandings of instrumentation, they allow themselves to portray many different styles, expressing a strong sense of versatility and maturity throughout their catalog of music.

Just before Jade exited the group Moshcam caught Jade, Alex and two other core members for an interview. Rounded out with a diverse set of questions that are appropriate for any band that is as recognized and tours as regularly as Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, we bring you a video interview.

If given the chance be sure to catch Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros live when they are near you.
