Montreal has been home to some of music’s most innovative and beloved contemporaries, from A-Trak to Chromeo to Lunice, to the latest stalwart Kaytranada, and this place continues to make serious waves. High Klassified, a recent signee to the cutting edge label Fool’s Gold Records, released his Palindroma project a few months ago, as well as collaborating on A-Trak and Lex Luger’s Low Pros EP (for free download). The relentless High Klassified dropped “Hyrule Kastle” the other day, in celebration of his Twitter verification, and his instrumental game is once again on point. This track will take you on a trip if you let it, so it is best served with a clear head. Sit back, and enjoy the trance-inducing synths, sauntering rattles, and menacing 808s.
