Los Angeles based rapper Azad Right has been making huge strides as of late. From his hot track "6:30" right through to his most recent release of his freestyle over Drake's "Draft Day", it's plain to see that he's been putting out consistently strong releases in 2014 so far. With such a sturdy repertoire already behind him can Azad conjure up another dope track?
This time around, Azad has taken to BC Kingdom's instrumental for "Lock Up", and the Californian wordsmith doesn't disappoint. Whilst this time round the beat is a lot more mellow, with a deep bassline sitting on top of some slow, hard hitting drums that really allow you to focus on every word the Azad spits. Just like his "Draft Day" freestyle, the wordplay and flow that he comes through with are both interesting and easy to follow, whilst it's arguably his best work lyrically. The subject matter, relationships, seems like the perfect topic of discussion, with both verses detailing different perspectives of relationships and something everyone can relate to.
