Danish producer Slowolf has been hard at work, preparing his Bounty EP for our ears. The Copenhagen native, whose blend of electronic sounds with hip hop tendencies makes for an engaging listen, has dropped a few singles from the EP the past few months, but this week he may have dropped my personal favourite.
"Princess" see's Slowolf again calling upon legendary emcee and Wu-Tang member Raekwon, who's previously featured on his last single "Dance Floor", and London rapper Benny Banks, who featured on "Horsey", which we premiered last month. Both emcee's deliver concise and clever verses, with clever wordplay and engaging flows a massive feature from both of them. The backdrop provided by Slowolf, features jaggedy sounds, rolling bass notes and as Banks comes in with his verse, outlandish blips that set some kind of head nodding rhythm that carries the track along. Female vocalist Takura adds some subtle yet sweet hooks onto the track, adding a little bit of soul to the gritty beat.
You can stream "Princess" below, and be sure to keep your eyes and ears locked onto EARMILK for all the latest from Slowolf. His Bounty EP drops May 26th.
