Bred in the streets of Los Angeles- well wait, maybe not the actual streets, but considered an LA native, is Ostra. He grew up entangled in a concrete culture composed of hip-hop, r&b, and electronic elements that eventually evolved him into the producer he is today.
I first became fond of music while watching movies and video games as a kid, which is a common characteristic between me and big Ostra. As a kid he spent his time developing his profound love for the cinematic and atmospheric wonder that music would enrapture throughout the "countless digital adventures" he would partake in. It's more about telling a tale for O, as he aims to emulate the same magic and complexity of the influences of his childhood.
Recently he released 2 new singles through Australian label DIEHIGH Records, which has turned out a few other sick productions just as of May. I can surely hear the arcade-like sounds incorporated in Ostra's sound, a style I've been attracted to since Zedd's first production, The Legend of Zelda". Not a huge fan of the bangers, but Ostra dishes up the digital waves with great ease.
