TATI ANA shows us the strength of feminine fragility on new track "MRI"

Moscow-born artist Tatiana Kochkareva has been described as “Nina Simone, Fiona Apple,” by AOL Music. I tend to agree, except that her haunting vocals and both classical and jazz piano chops have entered the ever-evolving world of electronic music. She has that aspect of feminine fragility, balanced with the strength and artistic melancholy held by most vocal powerhouses.

New track “MRI” is downright chilling and perhaps what a melancholy jazz diva would have done had she been on the up and up now, mixed with an intense, driving beat and distinctly ominous synths. Kochkareva blends indie, classical piano into her own brand of high-powered electronic music with an undeniable rock n’ roll touch. Currently based in NYC she will only continue to grow as a powerful female presence in the world of EDM, and has received nods from PureVolume, The Deli NYC, Blurt Magazine and No Depression.

The new alt-indie darling’s latest project TATI ANA is certainly one to be heard, co-produced by multi-instrumentalist and engineer Jeff Berner and the new electronic rock sound that they have cultivated is undeniably powerful, and shows Kochkareva for what she is, an indie-electro-rock goddess in the new industry, where one must become a hybrid to keep up. We believe that this diva is truly up to the challenge and will only continue to develop her intriguing sound.
