"Woke up with a wedding ring and post party excuses…" That's one of the many shenanigans mentioned in Dim Mak MC SHAYGRAY's new drop, "Mazal Tov." Hailing from Tel Aviv, Israel, "firecracker rapper" Shay is only 25, with ambitions ahead and most likely some memories to make.
"Mazal Tov" is a party scripture SHAY has cooked up, fused with a quick tongue and a quart of creativity. The intense and powerful productions behind his music may be traced back to Israeli native Borgore. The first single off of his upcoming EP is ‘Illuminati’ featuring Borgore, a topic that has been getting plenty of heat as of late from Madonna to Kanye’s proclamations.
SHAYGRAY's unique lyricism and choice of words has made him- surprisingly, a controversial figure in the electronic community. I know his label is the Steve Aoki powerhouse Dim Mak Records, but I myself would still classify him as an MC of hip hop influence.
Hipster Hype, the debut EP from SHAYGRAY, is set for a May 27 release. Take a listen to "Mazal Tov" now and test the waters.
