When you're a female emcee, it's always going to that little bit harder to stand above your male peers. The lack of female emcee's in the hip-hop scene has always been a struggle, but lately things have been changing around. The likes of Iggy Azalea, Chynna and Angel Haze have all shown they have just as much prowess as their male counterparts when it comes to rapping.
One of the hottest female emcee's coming out of the UK at the moment, Little Simz, has also proven her worth to the hip hop scene, especially over on the British Isles. The young rapper, who's already been championed by Jay Z's Life + Times, who premiered her mixtape last year, has recently found her talents being used by one of the hottest labels around, Soulection. She teamed up with esteemed producer Sango, El Blanco Niño, and rapper Waldo on "Mandarin Oranges" earlier this year, and this week we've been treated to the visuals for "Mandarin Oranges Part 2". The second part, which features Little Simz soley, was again produced by Sango, who produces a delicately chilled instrumental that allows her to showcase both her intricate flow, and clever lyricism. The visuals for this track see Simz walking around Venice Beach, taking in the sights and sounds of the city, whilst rapping throughout different spots.
