Sooner or later, all studio gangsters can be exposed: to quote the now famous B-Rabbit bar directed at Papa Doc, "But I know something about you, you went to Cranbrook, that's a private school." But Brooklyn's own Westbay would never use the role of a rapper to elevate his own status. As a young kid coming up in Marine Park, he found his footing through a barrage of cyphers that helped him find his passion for the genre. Now with some experience in the game, West is ready to share his stories, both good and bad, for those who can't get enough of that East Coast sound. On the sinister sounding "High End," the up and coming emcee pulls back the curtains to expose those who live flashy but couldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight . With fellow Brooklynite Troy Ave supplying a fresh verse, the track is a fantastic release that'll help put both artists on the map. Peep it down below and stay tuned for Westbay's upcoming project, Spread Love, which should drop real soon.
