As you guys may know, we at EARMILK sift through hundreds of songs and artists every week while exploring the deep abyss for that little something something. Take R&B vocalist Jared Martin for example: he's only been in the game for about two years, but that looks like a lie if I ever saw one. So far he does not have any official releases, though he has recently released an EP called Runways, a collection of tracks that will not make it into his upcoming project or release.
This particular EP really defines what type of vocalist he is and the style he is aiming for. Runways echoes a certain type of ambient r&b with atmospheric electronic beats thanks to producers such as Tycho and Stumbleine. One of our favorite standout songs in the EP is "Fluctuate", an emotional heart swell that will get your feelings all jumbled up. With the ambient beats provided by none other than the producer Sun Glitters himself, it elevates Martin's falsetto and passion driven lyrics to a whole new level.
