How To Dress Well Returns with "Words I Don't Remember"

Finally, How To Dress Well is back. Tom Krell resurfaces with the unbelievably smooth and ambient "Words I Don't Remember". Krell has been known as something of a contemporary R&B pioneer for his gorgeous ethereal sounds, brought to life by his own transcendental production. It's hard to believe that his last album was Total Loss two years ago. His newest release reminds you of the all-too-familiar 90s R&B revival, but there's an authenticity to HTDW. As always, his creativity continues to allow him to stand alone among the recent wave of breakthrough bedroom R&B producers and artists.

"Words I Don't Remember" is a glimpse at HTDW's warmer side. At just over 6 minutes, it's an otherworldly record that continues to progress into its own glorious, instrumental goodness about 4 minutes in. At that point, you're humming along with the melody.

This song for me is about love, trust, commitment… and what happens to these things and, like, what happens to really real love when sentimentality is so co-opted and ruined. What remains of true love in this world of simulations? – Krell on "Words I Don't Remember"
