"Drunk In Love", as reshaped by Dimond Saints

EARMILK is not sure what it is about this duo from Oakland, California, but they continuously manage to surprise us. After just seventeen days since Dimond Saints released their debut, six track EP, they've already come out with a euphoric remix of "Drunk In Love." Little is known about this musical group, yet they have constantly kept themselves in the spotlight in the blogosphere.

The remix of Beyonce's single is eerie and twisted with an Arabic melody unheard of in the original. There is hardly any of the original track left despite the half way point in the track where the listener gets a tease of the classic lyrics. The melody is dark and the high kickers even crueler, as it plays on the very concept of a remix. Dimond Saints seem to have mastered their own style somewhat, as song after song shows continuously growth. Only big things have come to be expected at the rate this duo has been releasing tracks. You can grab a free download of the remix from Dimond Saints Facebook page.
