In my opinion, it seems like a lot of electronic music has been dominated by trap and house over the past year or so. Of course, I'm mostly talking about those records in the spotlight right now, because no doubt, there's definitely been a plethora of other awesome genres getting released that are somewhat hidden from the average listener; however, with such a heavy industry emphasis on a very narrow scope of styles, it can be pretty tough to find something different unless you know exactly where to look. Well, I'm here to tell you that you don't need to look any longer.
Delivered straight from the land of maple syrup to your computer screen, Toronto-based Dabin has given us the exclusive to his brand new EP Ghost Hack, out tomorrow on Beatport. The two-track collection features one electro-house tune and one drum & bass tune, in which both are sure to have you throwing on that repeat button for at least the next couple of days.
The title track displays a melodic, electro punch, while the second record, "When You Return," brings out a fresh DnB vibe with clean, crisp vocals, leaving you wishing there were more than two songs on this EP. Definitely your must-listen for the week, make sure to be on the lookout for the official release tomorrow.
