Gaining recognition on the East Coast, Shmallen aka Allen Hansrisuk has been touching listeners with his smooth deep rhythms for only a couple years. The 21-year-old DJ and producer originally gravitated to the sounds of nu disco and house, with his first successful remix of The Movement's "Us". After the rework, Shamallen followed in the steps of the rapidly rising Cyril Hahn, taking on a Destiny's Child sample for his original production "Tell Me".

Now Shmallen is taking on another infamous R&B female vocal, this time from the late great Aaliyah, with his rendition of "Rock The Boat". The original track carved a place 90s nostalgia forever, so revamping the notorious production was risk for the unknown producer. Keeping the original feeling, the Connecticut-residing mix master takes the tune to the deeper side of house while creating an uplifting feeling that the original was missing. Crafting a smooth rework that highlights Aaliyah's breathy voice, Shmallen's remix is definitely a noteworthy rendition of the famous tune.
