Gold Fields puts a deep spin on Goldroom’s “Embrace”

Sometimes we get a dance remix with something deeper, and that is exactly the case with new Gold Fields track “Embrace,” which we’ve had the privilege to premier today on EARMILK. Produced by Los Angeles based electronic producer Goldroom, the original track is taken from sophomore EP released in September, and his remix EP set to be released today features tracks from Gold Fields, Bixel Boys, Slumberjack, Cyclist, and Whams. Goldroom has rebuilt his band for an impending tour in order to add live instrumentation to his signature smooth and synth filled sound.

Managed by Danger Village, Gold Fields has done an excellent job of retaining the sentimental hooks and lush electronic ornamentation that make the original track so special, while putting their own distinct spin on it. Their remix of “Embrace” is pure emotive dance music, and they’ve made it extremely easy to lose yourself in the danceable beat, sentimental lyrics, and rich synths either on the dance floor or in your headphones.
