Anything tagged as "antler-step" on Soundcloud is an attempt to grab people's attention, and while in many cases that can be off-putting, with this artist it's just not. It might be because the term is more relevant than ever to new Australian talent Rory Garton Smith who's making a name for himself as Elk Road. His latest free download is entitled "My Kind of Love," and is really something to pay attention to outside of the Soundcloud tag. A bumping take on a Motown blues sounding sample, he uses what would normally sound like bleepy synths to help accentuate the melody of the vocals. Check it out below.
