The New York duo Heartsrevolution dropped a recent single for their debut on OWSLA “Ride or Die,” which drops April 15th. Heartsrevolution isn’t new. They’re previously released Hearts Japan on Kitsuné, while also participating on a few of the compilation mixes.
Bright drums, raw vocals, and fast tempo give “Kiss” a light-hearted romp between punk and pop. The shallow piano, quick stick work, and definitive snares texture the track, giving real depth. The true spine of the track is the oscillating low-tone organ and Lo’s vocals, which are at once brash yet contemplative.
If you’re looking for your next wake-up-and-dance-in-your-underwear jam, this is it.
