When I proclaimed that Murkage were the mercurial musical leaders of the new UK sound, it seems that quite a few people agreed with me. One of the most prominent people to heap praise onto the Manchester collective, was BBC Radio 1 presenter Zane Lowe, who gave their "La Plage" track his title of 'Next Hype' record of the week.
Having featured "La Plage", which graced by Bipolar Sunshine on the hook, on EARMILK last december, the track caused quite a stir with it's blend of live drums, electronic elements and the rawness of rap all fused together to create a sound that's unlike anything floating around the musical stratosphere. Alongside the single, the Murkage boys also dropped three remixes from Corporal F, Ahadadream and Lungs, all of which caused a ruckus amongst listeners.
With a couple of months passing, and a new single upon the horizon, Murkage have decided to reload their "La Plage" single, and deliver an almighty package for their fans, for FREE. Alongside the original and three remixes already out, they have included two brand new remixes from HeyGamal and BLACK, that are topped off with a high energy live recording of the single too.
