Modern psychedelic vibes and visuals combine in the Seshen's latest video for "2000 Seasons," creating what you could call an audible blend of the sounds of Santigold and Gnarls Barkley's The Odd Couple. "2000 seasons" is type of soft, haunting kind of soul, resonant with a jive that, at times comes close to crossing the threshold into a kind of world music genre. The seven person band based in the Bay Are mix live and electronic instruments to make their electropop and soul-inspired creations which attempt to "blur the distinction between the abstract and the familiar," and the galactic and pleasantly trippy visual journey of this music video equipped with eerie yet hopeful-sounding instrumentals, lyrics do just that. Seshen was recently signed to the Tru Thoughts label and will be on a California-wide tour that starts on Valentine's Day-check them out if you're in the area.
