London-based five piece Phoria wowed us back in April with their release via Akira Records of the Bloodworks EP, and now they're back. We can remember the heart-stopping single, off of Bloodworks, "Red" to have "an experimental backing that meshes samples and a soothing vocal performance," as described by fellow EARMILK writer, Aaron Thomas.
This time, "Red" has been stripped down to its rawest form, with the help of a string quartet. The fivesome sound as good as ever, remaining harmonious and organic with live hand clapping, duel piano playing, and orchestral builds.
Within this video, the UK outfit guides us through a piano-driven emotional ride, one that we truly don't want to end.
