This track caught my attention because sadly, there isn't enough Missy Elliot in my playlist. Thankfully, Brisbane based producer YUMO, released his groovy rework of Elliot's remix of Da Brat's original "That's What I'm Looking For" via Visual Vibez. As an exciting part of an entire project titled Escape,"Kingston" presents itself as a fun concoction of hip hop, dance and soul.
YUMO plays with various sounds that bring together synth, claps and smooth percussion; and as this well-crafted track plays on, you can't help but appreciate the seamless blend of influences from different genres and the simple yet dimensional sound that sprouts from it.
