Whether a deep bass that kicks periodically, distorted vocals that echo away, or the continuous beat of a structured track, there always seems to be something that sparks new interest in deep house. Edgework is a French musician who recently found himself residing in the deep house genre. After releasing singles like "Collapse", this funk producer tried pushing his limits to see what other music he could design. Now at just 25, Romain Amante is challenging his current work by always extending his own capability.
Today EARMILK has Edgework's latest single, titled "815". The track's initial progression is infused with acid stabs and has an aggressive rhythm. With fragmented vocals, it takes the listener from one crescendo to the next, as a voice fades in and out over different tones. Where Edgework really made "815" shine is by making a darker sounding track that still has potential to bring out the sinister side of a dance floor. You can grab the single for free from Romain's Soundcloud.
