Duss – "Few Tips About" (Jim Star's Automatic Remix) [Premiere]

Edging onto the international circuit from Eastern Europe, Polish duo Duss is primed to drop its January 27 debut, Few Tips About EP, via Monique Musique. A bludgeoning and bass heavy pinnacle of their minimal tech sound, “Few Tips About Us” meets its fire and shadow with remixes from Kreisel and Jim Star.

Surfacing the original’s sinister potential, Jim Star’s “Automatic Remix” is a barreling pound beneath snare rattles, high-pitched drills, and synth squelches. A robust and smothering bass line fractures into ravenous licks, briefly standstill before an oil-guzzled vocal drops his conniving omen – the track’s claw-hold. Menacing and minimal, there’s a seething darkness in this remix that makes us itch with delectable agony. Take it as a foreshadow for what we can expect from Duss in 2014.
