Whilst 2013 didn't see Nick Saban and the 'Bama Tide secure their chance at a three-peat, it did however see the steady rise of young emcee Jay Dot Rain from the depths of the underground.
Jay released his mixtape Memoirs of a Young Dreamer back in October last year, and has since seen his stock rise, as fans and newcomers alike lap up his music. Following on from the success of his mixtape, the Alabama native has released the visuals for one of the strongest tracks taken from that project, "How I Do". The video was filmed on a recent trip to New York, as Jay and his Kipset63 homies walk through the streets of the Empire State, which sees them pass through the bright and beautiful Times Square as well as a trip on the subway. The perfectly filmed visuals fit well with the wavey vibe of the track, as soft synths and kicks combine to create a real 'in your zone' kind of beat produced by Block Bettaz, as Jay spits with considerable ease, impeccably timing his flow so it just rides the beat nicely.
You can peep the visuals for "How I Do" below, and if you like what you're hearing, you can download his mixtape Memoirs of a Young Dreamer from Audiomack.
