Last Lynx – "Lacuna"

60's-influenced Swedish group Last Lynx bestows us with this indie pop gem, filled with melancholy electric guitar strums and lulling vocals. Sure to have you dreaming of balmy nights on the beach past, the "Lacuna" is a dive into both eerie nostalgia and a pleasant daydream. The 5 person band is based in the musically diverse city that is Stockholm, a place that we've been seeing a lot of fresh and interesting talent come out of lately. Though Last Lynx aligns themselves with the pop genre, their sounds are far from what I would call generic. Their album, Ocean Reels, is emotive, soulful and unorthodox, a cool sip of lemonade on those mid summer days that you're musing about right now. Flexible as well, their tracks flourish in a remix setting. A few months ago saw the reworks of another one of their other hits, "Killing Switch" by artists VIKEN ARMEN, Sound Remedy, and Gabriel Gassi.
