Brooklyn based pysch-pop band, Twin Wave, released their self-titled debut EP, Twin Wave, earlier this week officially introducing their unique vibe to the world. The EP is the first look into Twin Wave’s sound; a blend of psych-rock fused with R&B & pop vocals, layered with soothing percussion that creates an intoxicatingly meditative vibe. Twin Wave EP features four tracks, including past singles “Relapse” and "I'm Sold" as well as two killer new tracks, "Your Ghost" and "Monterey."
A blend of carefully crafted psychedelic grooves create a palette for the influence of R&B in the lead singer's vocal hooks. Tracks like, "Relapse" and "Monterey" layered emotional lyrics fusing a psychedelic groove first with a melodic hook, and then crafting meditative lyrics on top.
The band formed in early 2013, and since then have made quite a splash, playing sets at the New Music Seminar, MTV’s O Music Awards, and NYC’s CMJ Festival as part of the Deli Magazine’s showcase. Following the buzz from their first single “Relapse”, they are bound to create major waves with their debut self-titled EP, Twin Wave.
