If Kill Frenzy's "Naked Piano" on Dirtybird hasn't satisfied your booty bass craving for the day, Black Butter Records counters nicely with an original by British up-and-comer, Ashley "Woz" Westlake. Around this time last year, Woz first crossed my radar after Annie Mac supported the delightfully weird house track "Zylo" on her weekly radio show.
Since then, Westlake has seen no shortage of support from other BBC personalities, including Toddla T, Skream, and Mistajam. His latest EP release includes a tasty B-side in "Keep", where a steady garage beat and warm synths open up to a track seemingly of a more mellow mood. Add in some vocal chops a thick bassline and the track turns dark as night. With heavy subs and the deepest of wobbles, it's hard not to move your feet on this one. On a proper club system, you'll have better luck trying to stay standing upright.
