The unknown FRXXMASONS don't really play by any of the rules. Their video for "Fun Timxs" is a tour of naked women wandering through hotels, dizzying images, and illicit drug use. Despite its NSFW imagery, the video fits the song perfectly. It describes a drug addled couple, pushing the limits of sex, sanity, and sense. "You can never decide on your high, so you do it all…" At its midway point, dizziness sets in. Blurred and unknown naked figures start bouncing on piles of balloons. The color is in stark contrast to the darker side of the introduction; this must be the drugs setting in.
With a flourish, we are taken to a first person view, removing a rolled up bill from the hands of a naked woman, before lines are consumed off an end table. The FRXXMASONS aren't just doing this for the tits and the drugs. The message about dangerous love is profound and a brilliant piece of social commentary. This has the aura of a real story, being told by someone who understands the highs and lows of found in society's underbelly. It only makes me wonder more who the FRXXMASONS really are. This isn't the work of a brand new artist; it's just too nuanced.
