The Australian-hailing Wave Racer, released his synth-driven “Stoopid” months ago, giving listeners a unique sound dripping in throw-back 80s appeal. Using distinctive 8-bit sounds, Wave Racer takes fans back in time with vintage computer plugs, while still creating an infectious beat on the original. Now, the English duo DE$iGNATED, aka Nima Bazrcar and Rory Bowyer, are giving the tune the remix treatment, transforming “Stoopid” into something somewhere between dream house and bounce. Keeping some of the 8-bit style and the pitched-down vocal sample intact, the two producers incorporate bouncing bass plugs, piano chords and subtle synths to form the rework.
