EARMILK favourite ItsNate has been having quite a year so far in 2013. After the release of his mixtape Never Average Talking Excellent, the hype around Nate grew ever stronger, and a couple of months into this year, he released the video to one of the most popular tracks from that mixtape, "Windy". Following on from that video, he released a brand new track alongside Piff Gang emcee Milkavelli, entitled "Easy". After the release of "Easy", the anticpation of a new project from ItsNate rose, and he finally released the lead single "All For The Night", which was swiftly followed by a video for the same track.
Last month we finally got the full release of ItsNates 4th mixtape, So Slocal. I described the project as one that "affirmed Nate as one of the most talented artists in the UK rap scene", and it has been a permanent fixture on my playlists ever since it dropped. This week, Nate released the visuals for one of my personal favourites from So Slocal, "Savage". The dark and sinister video is a far cry from the more upbeat, party-like vibes in "All For The Night", but it's also more fitting to the shadowy nature of "Savage", and fits the intensity and passion with which Nate spits his lyrics.
