Hailing from the Bauhaus-lined arteries of Berlin's Neukölln district, Nina grew up beneath the airplanes coming and going from the now deceased Tempelhof airport. She was no stranger to noise. After a rigorous classical voice training regimen in her teens, Nina landed stints as a back-up singer for various renowned German pop stars. Soon after, she moved to London where she modeled and being a paid dancer in central London nightclubs ensued, while she drifted away from the mainstream to the bars and pubs of Dalston and Shoreditch. It was there that she was approached by a number of producers and her London singing career began.
Previously following a more electro pop sound, with We Are the Wild Ones, Nina takes a different direction, teaming up with songwriting duo Hunter As A Horse. We Are The Wild Ones is a beautiful and ambient journey. A track that immediately grabs you with its haunting synth, combined with Nina’s smooth, atmospheric and impeccably sung vocal. The single also includes B-side Waste of Love and two remixes of the title track. The remixes come courtesy of Washington based duo Pleasure Curses and Chicago DJ Alex Zelenka (aka Alex Invisibles) mostly known for his Crystal Castles remixes. We Are The Wild Ones EP is set for release on the 25th of November through Aztec Records.
