Just named “#1 DJ in the world” in DJ Mag’s Top 100 list, NYC-based producer Hardwell has done a so-named “Rambo edit” of track “Tremor” by Clockwork, who released it as a free download in celebration of 100,000 ‘likes’ on his artist page. The producer is at the height of his notoriety as an artist this week, with the prestigious award bestowed by DJ Mag, and a successful takeover of billboard charts, festival stages, and his own world wide headlining tour.
Hardwell himself said, “With the opportunities of social media today, it’s super easy to be in direct contact with your fans, however it’s impossible to respond to each and everyone through Twitter or Facebook.” The industry savvy and mature producer took the possibilities of direct contact to the next level with a question and answer series for avid fans on his YouTube channel. His edit of “Tremor” nails the concept of advanced production skills and is as much of a heavyweight electro-house track as Hardwell himself. The hard-hitting, pure electro beats build up the rhythm to an intense climb, before a massive portion of bass and outrageous synth structures elevate the track to a new level.
