In a culture where London seems to dictate and dominate the U.K hip hop scene, Lunar C is a burning example, quite literally accentuating the hidden talent Britain’s Northern chapter has to offer. Charlie Sloth’s It’s Grime Up North documentary for 1xtra is also a notable point of reference.
With no major record label backing, very few artists are able to create a hype the likes of which we’ve witnessed the Fly Tippers capitan drum up recently – let alone sustain one. Nevertheless, his devoted following continues to snowball, incorporating some of the U.K’s most respected artists and trusted DJ’s along the way.
With visuals as amusingly heinous as his lyrical content, Lunar returns with a brand new video for his latest offering, “Buzz”. If you've seen his latest “F64”freestyle for SBTV, you’ll be expecting nothing less than verbal karate – and you’re right to; over some notably aggy production on the part of TroyBoi, Bradford’s most prolific hit man since Dean Windass goes in harder than the Breaking Bad finale. A bold statement, but if any track warrants it, it’s this one.
You can see the video for “Buzz” in its entirety below and cop Lunar’s Good Times and Dead Brain Cells on iTunes.
