Over the last few weeks, the Los Angeles resident known as BetaTraxx has been taking us on a journey through his four-track EP, interestingly titled V. Darkly whimsical at times, touching on glitch hop at others, the experiment culminates in today's anthemic track, "Flight Of The Hornet". Beginning with somber vocals which soon fade to the background to introduce a clear bassline, the song reminds me of something straight from the TRON: Legacy soundtrack; it's an anthemic electro house track from an age far in the future. Enjoy the choral undertones, grimy, undulating mids, and clearcut electro-guitar melodies, and keep an ear out for more from this bright young artist.
