New York City based producer Ian Spurrier has never let any genre define boundaries his taste and inspiration. Growing up he moved from learning guitar to learning to produce electronic music, and now the guy known to fans as Fareoh hasn't let any recent definitions of club house remixing allow him to be confined to anything boring. We've always seen great melodic progressive club hits from him, and he continues to build a resume of songs staying true to his own style. His latest remix of Lady Gaga's "Applause" is one with a unique appeal that doesn't get mired in the slew of remixes we've seen (and will continue to see) of this pop hit, because it stands out as something somewhere in between synth pop and club music, appealing to any ear. Though the lyrics of the original still stand out as stellar here, it's because Fareoh has let them sing through, avoiding overloading the synth and bass like so many have.
