Hailing from Rhode Island, producer The Range explores vibrant sounds and textures on his track “Metal Swing”. He uses minimalism in an intriguing and colorful way. The track is built around a simple drum loop and effortless piano that is shortly accompanied by a sample of an unidentified British emcee rhyming passively. All these ingredients make for a mesmerizingly atmospheric sounding track.
“Metal Swing” is the closing piece on the Range’s introductory LP titled Nonfiction. He is currently gearing up to perform a string of shows in Europe to support his soon to be released project. The Range’s debut album Nonfiction will be released October 14th through his label Donkey Pitch.
